Walk & Talk Open Garden

Our next event will be run in collaboration with, the Mount Eliza Association For Environmental Care, (MEAFEC). They will start the day with a “walk and talk” session in Moorooduc Quarry.  It will take place on land fenced off at the top of the quarry for plant regeneration.  So don’t worry, there won’t be a lot of difficult walking involved.

The will be followed by visits to the gardens of 2 Woodland residents.  Both gardens have Land for Wildlife recognition and you can see how they have both worked to preserve the “Grassy Woodland” Mt Eliza once was.  Find out what it takes to establish and maintain an indigenous garden and see what animal life they are attracting to their properties

Please come along and support those working hard to preserve Woodland and learn how you can do your bit too.

Sunday November 13th from 10am until 12.30pm

Commencing at the top of Moorooduc Quarry Reserve

(Canadian Bay Rd entrance, Melway Reference 105 K7)

Followed by a visit to 2 local residents’ original native vegetation gardens
